The Plimsouls Live On KCRW 1996
Why don't you like Peter Case and The Plimsouls? What did they ever do to you? Why didn't you make them the mega-stars they shoulda been? Why were you wasting your time with mediocre bands like Pat Benatar, Elton John,Jefferson Starship, when you coulda put these guys at the top of the charts. They shoulda had big houses and nice cars. Of course it's not all your fault. Radio programmers sucked back then. Wait a minute... they still suck today. See scans @ 320 kbps.

Awesome Chicago performance!
First: This is not the original cover!
I didn`t get any other one...
What´s a boot without a cover?
(You can purchase this real poster for 200$)
"Before the hits, before Peter Cetera made his name nearly synonymous with "prom ballad"-- before Chicago was even "Chicago" they were the Chicago Transit Authority.
After relocating from the Windy City to LA and becoming the house band at the Whiskey, the CTA started making a name for themselves opening for and touring with the likes of Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and a handful of other big names of the era.
In August 1969 someone had the foresight to lay down tape and capture directly from the soundboard, one of the CTA's shows at Bill Graham's famed Fillmore West.*
This is one of the earliest known soundboard live recordings of this band-- a band that was still young & hungry. They were still very much a hard rock band with horns and not the pop band they would later become.
The mix is imperfect, as are the performances but that's what makes them so enjoyable. Chicago's debut album had a raw energy to it that producer Jimmy Guercio would seemingly "polish" out of them on their later recordings.
This live bootleg captures that rawness and energy. On the guitar heavy tracks like Poem 58, Liberation, and It Better End Soon Terry Kath's guitar is pushed to the front of the mix. On songs like Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is? Robert Lamm and Peter Cetera's vocals are pushed closer to the front of the mix."by the original notes

If you`re looking for Dead bootlegs today, it probably will happen that you only get audience recordings!
It`s better than nothing, but is this still the Grateful Dead philosophy that we all loved so much?
I`m in doubt!
It`s true, the world has become a commercial casino,
but The Grateful Dead,too?
Fishing in my own Grateful Dead pond I found this great show from 1975.

FM Broadcast
This really amazing Grateful Dead compilation comes from a time when Grateful Dead archivist David Lemieux`s "Taper´s Section" had been opened to all the Grateful Dead freaks around the world (except China, Birma,Russia,North Korea and some other beautiful, but ignorant countries) for free download.
I am glad to say that I`ve been able to grab them when the Dead members still didn`t care...
This one`s for God Jobe! This is no Punk, no Wave or something that`s founded on the New Age,but I hope you still have at least one ear for listening to this old-fashioned unknown psychedelic Rock group...

Bill Hicks - American Hero
I had a vision of a way we could have no enemies ever again, if you're interested in this. Anybody interested in hearing this? It's kind of an interesting theory, and all we have to do is make one decisive act and we can rid the world of all our enemies at once.
Here's what we do. You know all that money we spend on nuclear weapons and defense every year? Trillions of dollars. Instead, if we spent that money feeding and clothing the poor of the world, which it would pay for many times over, not one human being excluded ... not one ... we could as one race explore inner and outer space together in peace, forever.

Sadly, Bill Hicks died of pancreatic cancer at the age of 32.

Black Sabbath - Rare
Black Sabbath
Rare
When I was a young teenager Black Sabbath (beyond Zep.,Deep Purple) had been the ones, who gave me understanding, kind of sympathy...in a world, that didn`t want me. I got a little record player and I raised the volume as loud as I could. And the best had been: "Master of Reality". I`m glad we have "War Pigs" and "Children of the Grave" on this one, too. Thank you Sabbath!
As I know most of you Hard Rock freaks will have them all, I will try it with this one...
Children Of The Grave:
Revolution in their minds - the children start to
march
Against the world which they have to live in
Oh! The hate that's in their hearts
They're tired of being pushed around and told just what to do
They'll fight the world until they've won and love comes flowing through, yeah!
Children of tomorrow live in the tears that fall today
Will the sunrise of tomorrow bring in peace in any way?
Must the world live in the shadow of atomic fear?
Can they win the fight for peace or will they disappear? Yeah!
So you children of the world, listen to what I say
If you want a better place to live in, spread the words today
Show the world that love is still the life you must embrace
Or you children of today are Children of the Grave, Yeah!

The Great Lost Kinks Third Album
Another Great Lost Kinks Album
One thing you never see here at the Wagon is the way all of us are committed to improving the way things work around here. There are so many behind the scenes things going on it would take a full 3 pages to list them all. So with all that braintrust going on around here, I would like to introduce our latest feature. We are calling it Comments Utiltized Not Trivialized, or C.U.N.T. for short. Yes that's right an all new way for you to leave comments without taking the time to actually write something. From now on all you have to do is leave a letter. Here are the comments you can pick from.
A. You suck and Jobe your not funny.
B. How dare you people ripoff these musicians by posting their music and giving them nothing in return. I hope you all burn in Hell, but I'm going to download this anyway.
C. You guys here are the real 5th Beatle.
D. Thanks for giving us all these great tunes.
That's it.Easy isn't it? All you have to do now is leave a letter in the comments.
See scans for details. @224Kbps
Hey you don't have to thank us but if you must I say D

Miles Davis - Another Unity - 1975-01-22 - Tokyo,JPN
Miles Davis
Another Unity
1975-01-22
Tokyo,JPN
According to the wikipedia, by the time the group reached Japan in February 1975, Davis was teetering on a physical breakdown and required copious amounts of vodka and narcotics to complete his engagements.
But by then, the band had the moves down pat; the music was exciting and Miles was practically bleeding his horn. In his Autobiography, he said: “When I finished all the gigs with Herbie and came back to New York in the summer of 1975, I was thinking seriously about quitting…
“I quit primarily because of health reasons, but also because I was spiritually tired of all the bullshit I had been going through for all those long years. I felt artistically drained, tired. I didn’t have anything else to say musically… I was sick and tired of going in and out of hospitals and hobbling around, on and off stage. I was beginning to see pity in people’s eyes when they looked at me…
“I thought I might be gone for maybe six months, but the longer I stayed away the more uncertain I was whether I was going to come back at all. And the more I stayed away, the deeper I sank into another dark world, almost as dark as the one I had pulled myself out of when I was a junkie… In the end it took almost six years and even then I was doubtful whether I could truly come all the way back.
“From 1975 until early 1980 I didn’t pick up my horn; for over four years, didn’t pick it up once.”

Here's another KSAN show digitized from a friend's high-bias master tape of the broadcast. This is VERY clear for thirty-three years old and if you like the power-pop New Wave style, I highly recommend you download it. Your ears will think you're listening to the actual broadcast.
I should give you some background on the audience booing at the start of the tape....KSAN was generally a beloved San Francisco institution, a pioneer of free-form FM radio. My memory is that they instituted a playlist under orders from the corporation that owned them and there was a lot of resentment about that....and then there was some delay in starting the show.
I'm not sure about the weather that night but San Francisco can be cold when the fog rolls along the waterfront, and you're stuck standing on the sidewalk....and the crowd lets the deejay know about it....

The set captures a live performance by singer Roy Orbison on August 5, 1982 from the PBS television show Austin City Limits. Orbison was the first "legend" to appear on the weekly series, which, at the time, featured local Texas performers. It is said that Orbison's appearance on the show paved the way for other legends such as Ray Charles, Marty Robbins, and even Johnny Cash to appear on the series.

Foreigner - Budokan '89 Westwood One Superstars In Concert
Brought to you by Draftervoi
with NEW FLAC Link!
This one plays like a “Greatest Hits Live” set. Foreigner put 16 hits on the American Top 40, and 13 of them are represented here. So….13 out of 14 of these were Top 40 hits. Other than that….not much to say. You know if you like ‘em or not. If you do, you’ll probably like this. I included a scan of the cue sheet.
