Total Time ::: 34:59

Recording Information ::: 101KGB-FM San Diego, CA stereo original radio broadcast of pre-recorded concert -> unknown stereo recording equipment -> off-air master tape -> 1st generation cassette, Dolby off -> 2nd generation Maxell XLII-90 cassette, Dolby off.

Playback 2012-08-01 ::: 2nd generation Maxell XLII-90 cassette on Nakamichi 680ZX cassette deck, Dolby off, azimuth & pitch adjusted, heads cleaned & demagnatized -> Sony Linear PCM Recorder PCM-M10 (LPCM 44.10kHz/16bit WAV files) -> computer -> Audacity (normalisation to remove DC offset, fades &/or glitches, dropouts, volume adjustments, no EQ) -> CD Wave (track splits) -> Trader's Little Helper -> yer ears. First uploaded week of 2012-08-03.

::: EXC quality, super stereo FM broadcast. Check samples for presonal trials & tribulations.
::: CONTRAST CLAUSE: Same original source tape, but upgrades this 5th generation copy http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=379020 (kindly up'd by theklopeks).
::: Warts: Very, very slight hum & distortion. Dull spots were mostly rapairable but actual dropouts difficult due to extreme stereo imaging. I definitely did not get 'em all!
::: (*) My tape said 1972-11-15?. It circulates 1972-11-15 as the excellent Whisky list at http://www.chickenonaunicycle.com shows NO America appearance ever & Nov. 15-18, 1972 as Sylvester & The Hot Band, Hemlock featuring Miller Anderson. The Whiskey had many unannounced bands, but since America did early & late shows the evening of this recording, I'm not sure what's up.

Line-up ::: Gerry Beckley - vocals, guitar, bass // Dewey Bunnell - vocals, guitar // Dan Peek - vocals, guitar, harmonica.

Nothing here ever commercially released to my knowledge. If I'm wrong, please advise & I'll take the offending trax offline.

CoolSonics 175 ::: Thanks to the original taper & traders! ::: Corrections welcome ::: Pulling out something else & found this. Seems to upgrade matters somewhat. Enjoy!
Kudos to Zongo for life support, Lochner for mikes&more & Fast Freddie for runnin' Video Dick's Record Emporium with the bathroom office full of tape decks. Thanks to Hanwaker (few among us can keep his pace). Mountains of gratitude to Davmar, D.White, Sanchez, Elliot, The Florida Kid, Kloiber, Zingg, JTW, Bershaw, Boston Gold, Weeks, Dixon, Moore, Gough & SO many more for all that collecting & sharing... Royal thanks to The Man In The Palace, Doc Tinker, Brinkhoffs, Barely Eatin', Reel Master Gaule, Parrish & all the traders who housed me thru my music acquisition & travel years. Hats off to Brother Kent, Uncle Jake, Little Queenie (& her neighbor Frank) & his honor Ptomaine Thomas. Glasses raised to Byron for musical horizon expansion & much obliged to J & Thurston for keepin' my concert fires burnin' since my continental shift. Thanks to the Mods for keepin' DIME alive. Enjoy, share, give, spread peace. Yers truly, Knees

America / Bergen, Netherlands, 1972 - FM broadcast

America
Bergen, Holland NL
January 1, 1972
FM RECORDING

01.  Don't Cross The River
02.  I Need You
03.  Look Up Look Down
04.  Three Roses/Comin' Into Los Angeles
05.  A Horse With No Name
06.  Everyone I Meet Is From California
07.  Sandman

One of Hans Devente's tapes, posted in December 2014.   I removed a bit of hiss with a simple EQ filter, chaptered the songs, cleaned up a few pops...it's still hissy, but there's not much available from this early in the band's history.  This set also shows up on a bootleg called "In Concert 1972," but this version has better sound.  Flac files of wavs.
