Based out of Wilmington, Delaware, the Bullets were a rockabilly/blues-rock three piece. Obvious points of comparison are bands like the Stray Cats, Chris Isaak, and Levi & the Rockats.

While they open a cover with Johnny Burnette's "Tear It Up," (released in 1956), they also touch down in the late 1960s for a go at Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Fortunate Son."

The original songs show strong songwriting and snappy guitar work, and singer/guitarist Michael Davis has a good voice.  I don't see that these guys ever got a record deal, but they could have put a out a solid rockabilly revival record.

If you've got any information about the band, please leave a comment below.

There's a touch of static that drifts in on a few cuts, but don't worry, it only lasts a short while.

Robert Gordon - Walking Talking Dee Harris Blues @ 224kbps

I recently went to a record show here in my fair city. For the first time I can remember, and I've been going to these shows since they started, the cd selection was horrendous maybe 3 to 4 sellers had any cd's. For all of you fans of vinyl however, some of the artist that were being asked about were Funkadelic, Hawkwind, Savoy Brown "Jack The Toad", Nina Simone. So I would suggest if you have these records either hang on to em or ask a hefty price at your next record show (should you be a seller). I did find a guy who was selling bootleg cd's and vinyl (and the prices he was asking for his vinyl was through the roof) So what I did was buy as many cd's that I had the money for that I have not seen elsewhere on the net. And that's where this little beauty comes from. You don't see much Robert Gordon anywhere. But for the uninitiated Robert Gordon is/was a rockabilly artist. So if that's your cup of tea, I think your gonna like this. I'm not a big fan of audience recordings but this one is great (I don't know maybe soundboard) See scans for details.

Hillbilly Hellcats - Lets Talk Demos 1994

Hillbilly Hellcats - Lets Talk Demos 1994
Studio Sessions @128

Colorado's Hillbilly Hellcats tell stories of skateboards and hippies, as well as white trash, whiskey and trailer parks.
Take one part Reverend Horton Heat, one part Southern Culture on the Skids, one part Stray Cats, one part Gene Vincent & His Blue Caps and one part Dick Dale, put it all in a tall dirty glass and add a few shots of Everclear, then swallow The Hillbilly Hellcats if you dare.
