Susan Tedeschi - The Plant - Feb. 16, 1999 - KFOG-FM

Ms. Tedeschi works in a blues-rock style, has received numerous Grammy nominations, and has a big, powerful singing voice. Here's a live "in-studio" show that was broadcast while promoting her second album "Just Won't Burn" ....which was recently reissued on vinyl and is currently available over on Amazon.

Sound quality is excellent. My receiver was straight across the Bay from the Sutro transmission tower; I used metal tape, and I transferred this with AudioQuest cables.

Derek Trucks w/Susan Tedeschi - "Anyday" (video)

Totally amazing to see how Derek Trucks plays slide guitar this close-up--and this shows some EXTENSIVE footage of him and his technique (just watch the dampening he does on that slide to hold back the sound; he's moving his hand on an angle on the fretboard). And Mrs. Trucks (aka Susan Tedeschi) is a fine lady too; she gives her man some sweet looks there as he's sawing away. (Plus she's mighty nice standing there in that long dress.)

PS: Yonrico Scott absolutely bludgeons the drum kit--just hammers the daylights out of it.
If his set could talk, it would probably be screaming for relief. Pretty scary coming from a man who had heart problems and had to stop playing for a while.
That's Eric Krasno of SoulLive on the other guitar--and that is one bitchin' hot solo he did too.
