The Yardbirds - Zeppelin Presentations

 *THANKS TO THE ORIGINAL POSTER

Boy I suck. I hardly posted anything last month. But after a severe tongue-lashing by The Boss I intend to make up for it in the month of March. However, with enoch being down, I did manage to stock The Bookstore. So for the month of March I'm gonna clear the external and give you many, many songs for your enjoyment. So in the coming month look forward to seeing such exciting post as Kelly Clarkson and Jim Morrison do the songs of Frank Fontaine, That SUPER rock group Daughtry live from the toilet bowl at the Hollywood bowl. An extremely rare recording The Osmonds on The Andy Williams show on L.S.D. Another hard to find item Reg and Elvis do Jesse Colter. Iggy finally going the full Dylan on his hard to find Raw Power in the style of Frank Sinatra. And many, many others. See scans

21 Pat St. John - Live From The House Of Blues Promo

"Live From The House of Blues Presented By Pontiac Sunfire" was a syndicated radio show distributed on two cds, with concerts recorded at a House of Blues club (at the time, in Los Angeles, New Orleans, or Cambridge, MA).  The live music was interspersed with national commercials, and the House of Blues was promoted by short comments from patrons, or there were interviews with the artists. The syndicated radio show premiered on January 27, 1995 and appears to have run for a year, with the shows running once a week.

The shows don't turn up on EBAY very often, so the number of stations participating in the syndication was low, compared to shows like King Biscuit Flower Hour. Lisa Collins’ “In The Spirit” column in the September 16, 1995 issue of BILLBOARD says 120 stations carried it. I've only identified the following shows:
Show #2 Neville Brothers/Tinsley Ellis
Show #3 Koko Taylor
Show #4 George Thorogood (this one is in our archives)
Show #14 Tom Jones
Show #16 Doug Sahm
Show #21 Nighthawks/Savoy Brown (this show...)
Show #51 Graham Parker/Junior Wells

I don't have these other shows (except for Thorogood); I've just seen them on EBAY or found references to them on the Internet.
The "sporty" sponsor of the show.

Also in 1995, 26 live shows were televised on TBS (Turner Broadcast System). A news article says "Featured acts will include the Spin Doctors, Neville Brothers, They Might Be Giants, Public Enemy, Marshall Crenshaw, Jeff Healey and George Thorogood and the Destroyers."

The show was hosted by Pat St. John...who previously hosted "SuperGroups In Concert," and “A Night On The Road” shows in the early 1980s, and the "Live From Electric Ladyland" shows in the early 1990s. At the time, Pat was the morning man on WNEW-FM out of New York City.

Here's what DISCOGS says about Sangatte Records:

Bootleg label which sells unlicensed recordings made by French Radio DJ Bernard Lenoir (Lenoir >>> 'Le Noir' means 'The Black' in English) for 'The Black Sessions' and also other unlicensed recordings by Radio France. These unofficial releases are said to be limited to 2,500 copies on CD format but they are in fact not limited and on CDr.

The Discogs listing for this CD says it was released in 2009, but the cover and disc shown on Discogs are slightly different than my copy, which is clearly marked "2012."  So...it's clear they did a second pressing.

Both the Discogs entry and the CD cover miss that there are 12 tracks, not 11..."Bridge" is the song missing from the set list.

Here's another tape I got in trade.  It's Robyn Hitchcock, solo, acoustic...just him and his guitar.  There is probably a version out there from the master cassette but I've never tracked one down. This version sounds quite good and will do while we wait for the master cassette to turn up.

Bob Dylan And The Band-Mighty Mockingbird (Live At The Isle Of Wight)

 *THANKS TO THE ORIGINAL POSTER

Our friend Andy is right. Not a lot of stuff going round out there right now. I myself have been way busy these days making it a bit hard to post. The Boss e-mailed me and said he's having issues with his comp. Another thing, it seems like there's only a finite amount of stuff to post. If one of you maybe has a link to all of the Tendolar releases, and I don't need the information, that's readily available at Discog's I need the links to those releases I would be more than willing to post it. I know that many of those releases are bootlegged under other titles, and labels but there are quite a few that I can't find and are not available anywhere (at least that I can find) See Scans

The Beatles-Alternate Rarities 1,2,3 BACK FROM THE DEAD

*NOW BACK FROM THE DEAD

*ON A MILLION OTHER SITES
*THANKS TO THE ORIGINAL POSTER

Well it's our annual Thanksgiving day telethon. We are always trying to drum up money to keep our site alive. This year we have lined up some of the best talent that show-biz has to offer.  For instance this year's master of ceremonies is the one, the only, Jamie Farr and with his wit and comedic talent we are sure to keep you tuned in for all of our 356 hours of television time.  Some of the other great talent we have lined up includes, Walter Brennan reading a passage from Jim Carroll's The Basketball Diaries.  We have Kaye Ballard doing a killer version of Metallica's Enter Sandman. Also on the bill Kitty Carlisle doing a fabulous Janis Joplin impression. We (of course) would never forget the young folks out there so we have booked Daughtry.  Well if that doesn't leave you salivating at what else we have in store you must not have a pulse.  So check your local listings and plan on the greatest event since Mountain Monsters.  See Scans
