Los Lobos - WW1 In Concert 87-26 Kentish Town & Country Club 1987

Here's a fresh digitization from a clean copy of the original radio show discs.  I tracked all the commercials and show breaks so you can include them or exclude them.  I've included a 300 dpi scan of the cue sheet and one of the disc labels.  I declicked the files in Audacity.

I think this 1987 show from the Kentish Town & Country Club was broadcast several times by Westwood One.  There's also a listing on loslobos.setlist.com for 1987 that says a BBC broadcast was edited for broadcast, too.

Don't ya love her madly
Don't ya need her badly
Don't ya love her ways
Tell me what you say
Don't ya love her madly
Wanna be her daddy
Don't ya love her face
Don't ya love her as she's walkin' out the door
Like she did one thousand times before
Don't ya love her ways
Tell me what you say
Don't ya love her as she's walkin' out the door
All your love
All your love
All your love
All your love
All your love is gone
So sing a lonely song
Of a deep blue dream...

Matthew Sweet - Live From The Pit radio show 1997

“Live From The Pit” was a monthly syndicated radio program distributed by Global Satellite Network, who also distributed the popular “Rockline” and “Modern Rock Live” shows. Distribution started on August 28, 1995 with a show by Bush, and continued through at least mid 1998 (and possibly longer).

The show was hosted by Dominic Griffin (MTV’s “Real World: Los Angeles”) and entertainment reporter Joe Fleischer. Featured artists were drawn from late Nineties “Modern Rock” mainstays such as Smashmouth, the Foo Fighters, and No Doubt. The two hosts provided ironic indie banter and throw in a few short interview questions for the artists. In keeping with the ironic tone, the questions are not particularly deep or even connected to the artist (“Do you have a favorite Spice Girl?”).

An article in Billboard (1995) said that the producers were hoping most of the sixty stations carrying “Modern Rock Live” would sign up for the show, as well as some album rock stations, so the distribution appears to have been limited to a few hundred copies.

This show features Matthew Sweet, and has a thumping version of the Move’s “Do Ya.” I've included a scan of the original cue sheet, and the disc. The disc came in a clear plastic sleeve, so that’s it for the collateral. This is sourced directly from the official CD, not recorded off the radio, so the sound quality is as good as it gets.

Matthew Sweet
Live From The Pit
To Be Aired May 26 - June 2, 1997
Recorded at the Belly Up Tavern, San Diego, CA.

NOTE: On the original syndicated CD, Track 14 ("Ugly Truth") came after the 2 minute long Track 15 ("Thanks and Show Credits"). As the credits are quite long, I moved them to the end to make it flow more like an actual concert.

Buckethead and That1Guy - Club Infinity July 28th 2008

Buckethead plays a full shredding set and then that 1 guy joins him as "Frankenstein Brothers". Buckethead is a one-of-a-kind artist who is severely underrated. The same can be said about that1guy, these two one-man-band's are a perfect match on stage! Much appreciation goes to those who made this recording with 3 audience cams and soundboard audio. Be sure to show your support and buy music from both of these artists, and do NOT miss them live!
~brainphreak

~Wiki~
Buckethead (born Brian Carroll), is a guitarist and multi instrumentalist who has worked within several genres of music. He has released 43 studio albums, four special releases and one EP. He has performed on over 50 more albums by other artists. His music spans such diverse areas as progressive metal, funk, blues, jazz, bluegrass, ambient, and avant-garde music.

Buckethead is famous for wearing a KFC bucket on his head, emblazoned with an orange bumper sticker reading FUNERAL in capital black block letters, and an expressionless plain white mask which, according to Buckethead, was inspired by his seeing Halloween 4. At one point, he changed to a plain white bucket that no longer bore the KFC logo; but subsequently reverted to his trademark KFC bucket. He also incorporates nunchaku and robot dancing into his stage performances.

As an instrumentalist, Buckethead has received critical acclaim for his electric guitar playing, and is considered one of today's more innovative guitarists. He has been voted number 8 on a list in GuitarOne magazine of the "Top 10 Greatest Guitar Shredders of All Time"[7] as well as being included in Guitar World's lists of the "25 all-time weirdest guitarists" and is also known for being in the "50 fastest guitarists of all time list".

Huey Lewis - Superstars In Concert #84-22 Kabuki Theater SF

Huey Lewis & The News hit the ball out of the park with their third album, Sports.  The September 1983 release dominated the charts until November 1984, with five Top 40 singles...and in 1985, Weird Al Yankovic parodied one of the songs with "I Want A New Duck."

Speaking of Weird Al, he and Huey teamed up for a GREAT promo spot for the 30th Anniversary Release of Sports...even if you're not a fan, it's worth checking out.  I don't see that it's available for embedding, but if you do a search on YouTube for "American Psycho with Huey Lewis and Weird Al" it will turn up....as you can see from the title, it's got a parody of a scene from that movie...

Anyway...this is digitized directly from the discs, I've declicked it one click at a time, and I included a scan of the cue sheet and one of the discs.

Greg Kihn - Westwood One In Concert 81-10 (Country Club, Reseda)

Westwood One premiered their Westwood One In Concert series in April of 1981, with a show #81-1, pairing Chuck Berry and George Thorogood.  Not playing together, but two separate concert recordings broadcast during the hour.   While many of the In Concert shows continued the practice of pairing two artists, some of the In Concert shows featured a single artist...such as this Greg Kihn Band show from later during 1981.

The numbering on the In Concert shows is very straight-forward, it's a two digit code indicating the year, followed by an ascending count of the number of shows.  81-1, 81-2, 81-3...etc.   It looks like they did about 12 shows that first year, but by the mid-80s they were doing a show per week.

This show features the Greg Kihn Band as they were touring behind their breakthrough single, The Break Up Song (They Don't Write 'Em), which had gone Top 20 in the U.S.A.
