So last Saturday was the second annual record show I sell at. Business was fantastic. I damn near did a grand in old vinyl and CD's that I no longer had a need for. Well..at said record show was a seller whom I have been dealing with for years. He specializes in boots. He told me he was getting out of selling his wares. Said there is no market for it anymore. But in the meantime I managed to cough up 200 dollars to buy his product. The whole time I was thinking of you and our blog sites. So all of my next posts will consist of stuff I bought from Mr. Boot Dealer. I'm sure some of these are on other sites but until you see me thanking the original poster these will all be my rips. Over at The Adult Bookstore I post Cd's that are from my collection. I visit a lot of thrift stores here in town, that's where most of what I post (at the bookstore) comes from. It occurred to me yesterday after I bought 15 used Cd's, for a buck apiece (soon to be featured at the bookstore) I can get 15 Cd's for less than four gallons of gas. However this is not one of those this was found in the netherworld.

Gotta bunch of boots this weekend at my neighborhood flea-market. Most are soundboard however this one isn't but there are only acoustic guitars, harmonica and the occasional accordion. So don't be put off by that this sounds really good. I'm still researching some of the other boots, there's Stevie Wonder, Los Lobos, Bob Marley. The only problem whoever recorded these put very little information on the disc's. Also there are a couple of shows where I only have one disc of a two disc set. I'll be going back this weekend to the Flea to see if I can find the stray disc's. See Scans

And now another contender for the worst song ever recorded. This is one of those groups you see on PBS during pledge week, where they get a bunch of old timers (audience and groups) together for a one night gala to sing their greatest hit. Doesn't matter if anybody from the original group is there or still alive, as long as it's an original drumstick from the original drummer it constitutes a "group reunion" I love how when the cameraman pans out to the audience, their swaying to the tune until the chorus comes on then everybody perks up and remembers the words, but only to the chorus. I can just see these old fucks (myself included) saying to each other "Hey... these guys are pretty good" even though it's some second rate bar-band trying to help us resurrect our youth.

(Can You Still) Rock In America?

 

Night Ranger was one of those bands back in the 80's that straddled the fence (quite successfully) between Hard Rock and being Radio & MTV friendly! Their first few albums were really good, I thought!

This is a Great Concert! It's an Exciting Performance by the band with Excellent Sound Quality provided by King Biscuit Flower Hour! And a solid setlist!

I was listenin' to this one in the car the other day on the way to the store and back, so I thought I'd throw it out there for anyone that wanted to live in the past (like me) and remember some good times with some catchy, rockin' tunes...

I've seen this one on other sites - but most have a song or two missin'! I believe this to be the Complete Concert Broadcast!

Not much else to say, 'cept IF it's You're kinda thing of thing grab it - IF Not - Let It Pass and Wait for somethin' else to go by (gots more things comin' up, as do the other folks postin' here and over at FBS and in the Bookstore)!

It was the Cult Live On Stage and folks drove up in their cars (up to 5 per car) at the Cheshire Fairgrounds there in New Hampshire to see them play! Everyone Social Distanced, Etc.

And, It's a Great Sounding Soundboard Recording!

Jimi Hendrix-Villanova Junction

Not much to say about this, I always thought this video (below) probably summed up the last few months of Mr. Hendrix's career, with all the bullshit he had to put up with, all the takers, and in just a few short weeks after this Woodstock video he would play the infamous Isle Of Feharm show where he was booed. There are a lot of strange things in this world, but Jimi getting booed has got to be one of the strangest. See scans, my rip
