Since "Turn Back" was a "flop" Toto didn't tour in 1981 and they decided to start working on a new album instead which became Toto IV. As you know it became their best selling album ever, it won 6 grammy's and peaked number 1 in billboard with the song "Africa" and second with "Rosanna" this is probably the most important album of their career because thanks to it the band didn't die and gave them the fame that they still hold up to this day.
The tour started shortly after the release of the album, it was the first time they ever toured in Europe so this could be considered their first true "worldwide" tour.
It began in Japan, to be more precise the 7th of May 1982 and they stay around 2 weeks in Japan before leaving the country towards the end of the month, after that they toured for 2 months in the US, during which Bobby Kimball broke his leg on stage and he had to sing in front of a piano for the rest of the tour.
The rest of the tour was in Europe, their first venue in Europe was in Reggio Emilia, Italy on the 13 of September 1982 and they ended the tour in London in the 4th of October 1982, this is the last time Bobby would play with the band live until 1998 during their short 20 years tour anniversary reunion.
