As I glide around the net and read the other blogs I always look to see where The Voodoo Wagon is at. Well lately I've noticed we are not even in the top ten (posting wise).  So I'm here to remedy that situation and make us number one again if only for a fleeting moment. Shot at the Yokohama Arena in 1990 and broadcast on Japanese Satellite, this is an awesome show of approximately 90 minutes featuring some of the greatest tunes of each respective artist as chosen by the other performers as their favorites.

Now, I Know You're sayin' to Yourself - I Already Have THIS!

Well, YES and NO!

I've had this concert of RUSH from 1974 for a long time and have seen it on many a blog and website...
BUT...
They're ALL from the Same Source!
Apparently there was a Canadian TV Show called BANDSTAND who filmed this RUSH concert at St. Catharines, Ontario's Laura Second Secondary School with John Rutsey on Drums.
(You can watch it on YouTube in Living Colour, eh!)

AND, They ALL have the same problems and glitches and gremlins, etc:
The Vocals in the First couple of minutes of "Need Some Love."
"In The Mood" still fades out, 'cause, well that was the end of the broadcast! (Nothing could be done for that!)
And, the Sound Quality had a certain Muddy-ness to it overall...
Then Again IT WAS Filmed in 1974!

Apparently, some or all of the Original was released with R40 as a Bonus...

AGAIN! - THIS IS NOT THAT!

Available Nowhere Else!
It's NOT on ANY OTHER Blog or Website - 'Cause I Didn't Get It from Any Other Blog or Website (IF That Makes sense?)...

As long as I live,
I'll never forget the first time I heard the Intro to "The Ballroom Blitz!"
The snare drum keeping time as Brian says,

"Are You Ready, Steve?  Uh-Huh.     
Andy?  Yeah         
Mick?  Okay.       
Alright Fellas, Let's Go!"

It wasn't the 1st song I'd heard by SWEET - That was "Little Willy" back in '72...
But this was the Summer of '75 - You heard everything from America to John Denver to The Captain & Tennille to Eagles to "The Hustle."
But that song was so much more than the simple and very repetitive "Little Willy" and it made me go out and buy the Desolation Boulevard LP (Which I still listen to from time to time this many years later)!
I thought I'd make this First Post here in honor of Steve Priest, who died June 4th, 2020.. Brian back in the late 90's, and Mick in the early 2000's... Andy is the only one left from the picture above...
This is a raw, rockin' show recorded for the German TV show Musikladen in November of 1974... So, the Sound Quality is quite good! And, the Music is Great! Couldn't find any Artwork, So I made these simple covers, for those that still make CDs, and of course they're included in the download...
