In Sinking Island, there's a BLEEEEP censor, followed by a backmasked censorship of the word "assholes"

Which is weird....why use two different ways of censorship within the same five seconds?

Well, this is a rebroadcast of an earlier Source show.

On the original broadcast, they used the BLEEP on one offending word, but left "assholes" in the broadcast.  When they prepared the show for a second broadcast, they reversed it the word, giving us two different censoring techniques on a single line of the song.

The other odd thing about this is the disc label and cue sheet list the broadcast dates as March 30, 31, April 1, 1984. There is no March 31 on the calendar.  As the show was subtitled "April Fixx Day," could it be they did that on purpose, as an April Fool's joke?   Or was it just a mistake?

This second broadcast added a studio version of "Deeper and Deeper" to promote the single that wasn't on the prior broadcast.

Okay, gang, this one wraps up the Live From Electric Ladyland shows for now.  There's one more confirmed show - Jeff Healey - that I've never been able to track down.  It was one of the first three shows, before they began pressing them up on compact disc.  It's either on reel-to-reel, or cassette.

Unknown Digitization date.  You know the story already:   A kind-hearted soul was passing by and generously donated the raw wav files from the CD to us, and I got to work slicin' n' dicin' it up into individual tracks, fixing sector boundary errors, tagging the files with the composers names, etc. There were no associated scans of the CD or cue sheet. I edited and chaptered the files in May 2022.

Sometimes I put weeks of work in on a project.  Sometimes the vinyl is almost perfect.  This one only took a few days as the vinyl was clean with no surface noise.

There are errors on the cue sheet. Saved By Zero is not on it, and the commercials don't always match what's on the vinyl.

Speaking of commercials....how many of you remember the brief pop-cultural comet that was Yahoo Serious?

This appears to be the only syndication of these tracks on WW1.

After 1989, I've never seen a Westwood One show by the Fixx turn up.  From looking at that list it's apparent that WW1 didn't think they were popular enough to always support a full hour and a half broadcast.
