Dwight Twilley - The Beatles

Studio recordings @320

{Out Of Print}

(available on amazon for about $250)

Dwight Twilley covering the Beatles? Yes, this is a great fit and a great song selection. I love the similarities and also the little changes that Dwight has put on these songs. When an artist "tweaks" cover songs but keeps them recognizable it keeps the listener interested. Great job, Dwight.

Track List:
1. Come Together (2:53)
2. Dear Prudence (3:57)
3. In My Life (3:43)
4. Helter Skelter (4:37)
5. Everybody's Got Something To Hide Except For Me And My Monkey (4:18)
6. I'll Be Back (2:41)
7. Blackbird (2:14)
8. Hello Goodbye (3:19)
9. It's Only Love (1:55)
10. Why Don't We Do It In The Road (2:11)
11. The Continuing Story Of Bungallow Bill (3:27)
12. I Will (1:54)
13. Drive My Car (2:35)
14. You're Gonna Lose That Girl (3:51)
15. Taxman (3:25)
16. You've Got To Hide Your Love Away (4:32)
17. Run For Your Life (2:38)
18. Yer Blues (3:47)
19. Tomorrow Never Knows (3:44)

The Spanish Beatles

*NOW BACK FROM THE DEAD

*ORIGINALLY POSTED 3-20-13

A while back over at Willard's. Someone asked if anyone had any Beatles done by Spanish artists. I offered this up, but said requester was not interested. But that don't mean I should deny you good people the chance to hear it. So here you go. Variable bit rates. See scans for details

In the never ending string of Beatles bootlegs I offer this. If you have say, 10-11 Beatle boots you probably have all of this. Not listed on the back scans are these 3 songs "Come Together (demo) Revolution (acoustic) Something (demo) One more thing, The Boss is having severe computer problems and is not sure when he'll be back, so let's wish him well.

From what I understand, the videogame "Rock Band" (from where this comes) Giles Martin said "These are slightly reconstructed" versions, with Dhani Harrison saying "It includes stuff which has never been heard before"  "While live recordings of songs, such as "Paperback Writer" at Budokan were available, Martin believed some of these renditions were sloppy and would not be enjoyable to play. Instead, he took the studio versions and added audio effects from the live performance to create a "live concert" ambiance. The team also opted to slightly restructure the endings to certain songs especially those that fade out. So I guess what you're getting here are songs that Paul, Ringo, Olivia, and Yoko approved of. Hell I think they sound better this way. See scans

I swear everything on here sounds different to me. Be it the cold ending to "Lucy In The Sky" to the longer "Hey Bulldog" but I don't know, I'm sure some Beatle aficionado posing under the guise of Anonymous (who never leaves a comment anyway) will straighten me out and make me pull this. So grab it now before some asshole tries to take over this blog.

Well it's our annual Thanksgiving day telethon. We are always trying to drum up money to keep our site alive. This year we have lined up some of the best talent that show-biz has to offer.  For instance this year's master of ceremonies is the one, the only, Jamie Farr and with his wit and comedic talent we are sure to keep you tuned in for all of our 356 hours of television time.  Some of the other great talent we have lined up includes, Walter Brennan reading a passage from Jim Carroll's The Basketball Diaries.  We have Kaye Ballard doing a killer version of Metallica's Enter Sandman. Also on the bill Kitty Carlisle doing a fabulous Janis Joplin impression. We (of course) would never forget the young folks out there so we have booked Daughtry.  Well if that doesn't leave you salivating at what else we have in store you must not have a pulse.  So check your local listings and plan on the greatest event since Mountain Monsters.  See Scans

In order to try and drum up business for my favorite side project "The Adult Bookstore Motel, Records & Liquor"(Located On The Side Bar) I'm posting this in hopes you'll read this and  participate at said store. I have put up tons of stuff there if you have yet to visit. Simply go to the "Shit Happens" panel (Located On The Side Bar) pick a month and see the goodies myself and others have offered. However if you prefer I can go ahead and start posting the massive Don Ho bootleg collection I have. If you've never heard "Tiny Bubbles" sung in Greek you're gonna be in for a real treat. If you wanna ignore "The Bookstore Motel" I'll start with a live Gloria Gaynor boot that will be my next post.  See Scans
